These Terms and Conditions apply to quotations and electrical services supplied by Easy Electrical London Ltd in England and Wales. They should be provided to the customer before or when a quotation or booking is accepted.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Prices are based on the information available and the conditions observed when the quotation was prepared. If a quotation is accepted after its validity period, prices, availability and proposed appointment dates may need to be reviewed.
Where the selected quotation option is accepted and all included remedial works are arranged for completion within 28 days of the date of the Electrical Installation Condition Report, a 5% discount will be applied to the accepted quotation price.
The discount applies only to the work expressly included within the accepted option. It does not apply to parking, permits, tolls, Congestion Charge costs, additional investigation time, unforeseen defects or additional work authorised after acceptance.
The discount is subject to suitable appointment availability, access to the property and availability of the required materials.
Only the work specifically described within the accepted quotation or written booking confirmation is included.
Any item, alteration, repair or service not expressly included is excluded.
Where several quotation options are provided, each option is an alternative scope of work unless the quotation specifically states otherwise.
The customer is responsible for providing clear, safe and timely access to all areas where work, inspection or testing is required.
Consumer units, electrical accessories, light fittings, loft spaces, cupboards and other relevant equipment must be readily accessible before work begins.
Furniture, personal belongings and stored items should be moved away from working areas unless otherwise agreed in advance.
The customer is responsible for arranging access with tenants, managing agents, concierge staff or other third parties where applicable.
Delays caused by restricted access, unavailable keys, parking restrictions, unprepared working areas or another contractor may result in additional charges or the appointment being rescheduled.
The electrical supply, or individual circuits, may need to be switched off while inspection, testing and electrical work are carried out.
The customer must make suitable arrangements for equipment that must remain powered, including computers, internet equipment, alarms, refrigeration, medical equipment, heating controls, pumps and other sensitive appliances.
Sensitive equipment should be properly shut down before work begins.
Easy Electrical London Ltd cannot accept responsibility for unavoidable interruption, loss of data or disruption resulting from the necessary isolation and restoration of the electrical supply, except where directly caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
Quotations assume that the existing electrical installation is reasonably suitable for the agreed work.
Consumer-unit replacement, RCBO installation, inspection, testing or other electrical alterations may reveal pre-existing faults that were not apparent or reasonably identifiable when the quotation was prepared.
Unless specifically included, quotations exclude the rectification of pre-existing faults, inadequate earthing or bonding, borrowed neutrals, damaged wiring, insulation-resistance defects, incorrect polarity, overloaded circuits, inaccessible connections, defective appliances or alterations required to make existing circuits suitable.
Any additional defects identified will be explained to the customer and separately quoted before further chargeable work is carried out.
Where fault investigation is included for a stated period, the charge covers the specified time allowance only.
Investigation work does not guarantee that the source of a fault will be located or fully rectified within that period.
Where further investigation, access work or remedial work is required, the findings and likely additional costs will be discussed before proceeding.
Concealed defects, inaccessible wiring, defective existing equipment, non-compliant previous workmanship and additional faults discovered during the work are excluded unless specifically stated.
No additional chargeable work will be carried out without approval from the customer or another person authorised to approve the work.
Where an immediately dangerous defect is identified, the affected part of the installation may need to be isolated or otherwise made safe. The customer will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable.
Any permanent remedial work beyond the accepted quotation will require approval before proceeding.
Reasonable care will be taken when removing and replacing electrical accessories, light fittings and other equipment.
Minor damage to paintwork, plaster, wallpaper, tiles or other decorative finishes may occur, particularly around recessed downlights, older accessories, brittle surfaces or previously disturbed areas.
Existing fittings may conceal oversized openings, previous damage, staining or unfinished surfaces that become visible when replacement equipment is installed.
Making good, plastering, filling, carpentry, tiling and redecoration are excluded unless specifically included within the quotation.
Removed fittings, packaging and general installation waste will be left neatly at the property unless removal and disposal are specifically included within the quotation.
The disposal of hazardous, contaminated or specialist waste is excluded unless agreed in advance.
Where waste removal is included, it applies only to waste generated directly by the quoted electrical work.
Unless specifically included, quotations exclude parking charges, visitor permits, tolls and Congestion Charge costs.
Any such costs reasonably incurred while completing the work may be added to the final invoice.
ULEZ is not charged separately.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate information regarding parking restrictions, permits and access arrangements where known.
Parking fines remain the responsibility of Easy Electrical London Ltd.
Quoted products may be substituted with an equivalent product of comparable specification, quality and suitability if the original item is unavailable or discontinued.
The customer will be informed before any material change is made to the agreed specification.
Special-order, bespoke or custom-made items may be non-returnable once ordered.
Electrical equipment and materials supplied by Easy Electrical London Ltd are covered by the relevant manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms, conditions and warranty period.
Manufacturer warranties normally cover qualifying defects in the supplied product. They do not generally cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, external influences, unauthorised alterations, incorrect operation, normal wear or faults originating elsewhere in the existing installation.
Where a valid manufacturer claim arises, we will provide reasonable assistance with the claim. Additional labour, access equipment, parking or other costs associated with removing or replacing a product may be chargeable unless covered by the manufacturer or our workmanship obligations.
Easy Electrical London Ltd will carry out its services with reasonable care and skill.
Any concern believed to relate to our workmanship should be reported as soon as reasonably practicable so that we can inspect the issue and, where appropriate, carry out corrective work.
Our workmanship cover does not apply to faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others, defective customer-supplied equipment, external influences or unrelated defects within the existing installation.
Where equipment or materials are supplied by the customer, Easy Electrical London Ltd cannot provide a warranty for the product itself or guarantee its compatibility with the existing installation.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that supplied equipment is complete, suitable, compliant, undamaged and available when required.
Additional labour or materials required because customer-supplied equipment is unsuitable, incomplete, defective or incompatible may be charged separately.
Proposed attendance and completion dates are subject to confirmation, availability of labour and materials, safe site conditions and suitable access.
Easy Electrical London Ltd will take reasonable steps to attend and complete the work within the agreed timeframe.
We will not be responsible for reasonable delays caused by matters outside our control, including supplier shortages, delivery delays, illness, utility interruptions, restricted access, unsafe conditions, adverse weather or the actions of third parties.
The customer will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable if a significant delay occurs.
The person accepting a quotation or booking confirms that they are authorised to instruct the work and approve the associated costs on behalf of the property owner or responsible party.
Where access is provided by a tenant, managing agent or another third party, responsibility for accepting the quotation and paying the charges remains with the customer named on the quotation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A quotation or booking does not become a binding agreement until it has been accepted by the customer and confirmed by Easy Electrical London Ltd.
Acceptance may be provided through Tradify, electronically, through a website form, by email or in another agreed written form.
Any alteration to the agreed scope, price or specification must be agreed in writing.
Acceptance confirms agreement to the quoted scope and these Terms and Conditions.
Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a distance or off-premises consumer contract, the customer may cancel the contract within the applicable 14-day cancellation period.
The customer will be provided with the required cancellation information and cancellation form where applicable.
Where the customer wishes work to begin during the cancellation period, they must expressly request this in writing.
If work begins following that request and the customer then cancels, the customer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work completed and reasonable costs properly incurred before cancellation.
Where the service has been fully completed during the cancellation period following the customer’s express request and acknowledgement, the statutory right to cancel may no longer apply.
These provisions do not affect any statutory cancellation rights available to the customer.
The deposit or advance payment required will be stated on the quotation or booking confirmation.
If the customer cancels or postpones after acceptance, Easy Electrical London Ltd may deduct reasonable and evidenced costs already incurred, including completed labour, reserved time, non-returnable or specially ordered materials, supplier charges and other unavoidable losses directly resulting from the cancellation.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss.
Any remaining refundable balance will be returned to the customer.
Repeated postponement or cancellation at short notice may require a new appointment, further payment or a revised quotation.
The applicable payment terms will be shown on the quotation, booking confirmation or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due upon completion of the agreed work.
Payment may be made using the payment methods shown on the quotation, payment request or invoice.
An invoice may be issued for completed stages, authorised additional work, materials ordered or work suspended at the customer’s request.
Amounts not genuinely disputed should be paid by the stated due date.
Materials and equipment supplied for the work but not yet permanently installed remain the property of Easy Electrical London Ltd until the relevant amounts have been paid in full, so far as permitted by law.
This provision does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
Any concern regarding the work should be reported to Easy Electrical London Ltd as soon as reasonably practicable.
The customer should provide reasonable access and an opportunity for us to inspect the reported issue and, where appropriate, carry out corrective work.
We cannot accept responsibility for the cost of work carried out by another contractor without first being given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the matter, except in a genuine emergency or where otherwise required by law.
Complaints may be submitted by telephone on 0203 930 1223 or by email to info@easyelectricallondon.co.uk.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts the customer’s statutory rights.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts any responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
